One of the fastest service I have ever had from any Government office. I dont know what others have said in below. I went on 29th of March to book a campsite in Horton Plains and they guy who was at the Reservation Counter was so good and helpful and quick in his works. We Really appreciated his contributions. Only thing we had to wait, is to pay the money, cuz that guy had went to bank or something. Anyway Campsite Reservation price is 2530 LKR for 10 persons(only Local). And it would be good if you go earlier for reservation. So you wont miss the dates you need to be booked.

The Department of Wildlife Conservation is my second workplace as a public servant. I am proud to serve there. This department does a great service to the wildlife conservation as well as the tourism sector

I went there to provide service for them to connect their rural offices to head office. What I felt was the effort their putting is remarkable with the limited resources they have. Even the online booking system was developed by they to provide better service for you and me. Rural officers and rangers doing their service to protect wild animals sometimes without thinking their life.

A water monitor lizard had come to our our garden (suburb of Colombo) and appeared to be ill. As there was limited improvement observed for several days, we contacted the department of wildlife regarding the matter. They were courteous over the phone and agreed to come and look into the matter. Officers from the department came the same day to our place and decided that the monitor lizard was in need of assistance and took it away. I was very impressed with their prompt response, even for an animal that many would have ignored. Additionally, it is also possible to hand over injured animals (other than domestic dogs and cats) and poisonous snakes to the nearest wildlife office or Aththidiya Animal hospital.

This is the place to book camp sites in national parks in Sri Lanka. Booking is open from 9am to 3 pm. Service depends upon the person at the counter. Some people at the counter are friendly and helpful while some others are stupid and incompetent.

I too have experienced that the website/ e services get stuck at the most critical moments of booking. And then suddenly gets corrected with all weekends and public holidays booked! So it's pretty obvious that this is created. The authorities should look into this issue since its a government property and should be fare by everyone. Unfortunately as everyone knows all these reviews and complaints fall on deaf ears in this country!
