This place has been a local staple for going on 4 decades (prior tenancy was a butcher), current owners are doing well and have a solid patronage based on home cut chips fried in a beef talow (traditional fish and chips). You can get an honest Kiwi style burger, and a variety of deep fried goods from the menu. Do try the speciality caught fish either crumbed or batter as cooked to order.

This shop is without a doubt one of the best Fish and Chip shops in Christchurch. The service is friendly and fast, the shop is very clean, and the quality of the food is high. The portions are generous as well. Highly recommend!
