213 Marine Parade, New Brighton

After taking almost a decade to fix, at a cost of 900,000, I can guess the time more accurately than this clock. And my main job isn't being a clock. But it does look pretty. Photo taken at 6.14pm

Located on reserve in Marine Parade, on foreshore opposite the end of Seaview Road. Clock tower with four clock faces donated by R.E. Green. Foundation stone laid 14 December 1934, by Mayoress of New Brighton. A very nice example of Art Deco style which, fortunately, survived the disastrous earthquakes of 2010-11.
