Beautiful town with amazing murales
Not Bush As it used to be apparently the authorities asked the bars and the small local to stop the music at 1:30 am ..but is still beautiful walk around the lovely street
Nice village, perfect for a walk a for buying local products like hot chili peppers. Pay attention to the artistic graffiti which are everywhere
Christmas Day stroll along the lungomare, what could go wrong!? Forget the parking police in full force on the Holy day, but how about blaring loud rap music along the entire boardwalk to a point it was actually uncomfortable, Especially when they are using such vulgarity in the music! Who could be so ignorant to think loud music anywhere but a concert hall is acceptable? Granted most Italians don’t speak English so maybe they don’t know how crude the language being rapped is.... but surely not being able to carry on simple conversation without yelling over the speakers is a problem. Every year Diamante is proving to be a place in Calabria you can skip. We ended, traveling a little further south to Belvedere and it was a pleasure to hear the waves crash and enjoy a wonderful walk, conversation and lunch.
