Okay firstly we booked to see Dr Bartsch and ended up seeing Dr Maren. Whilst Dr Maren was nice this is where the positive experience ended. Prior to even getting to see Dr Maren, there was a 1.5 hour wait. There was so many people in the waiting room you couldn't get a seat. Hygiene in this place is terrible with zero sanitising options (no hand sanitising, no tissues etc) for any doctors office this is shocking, and seeing it was winter, cold and flu was running rampant. Once I did finally get seen, I expressed my concern as the receptionist took my blood. My friend who spoke German asked if she had be doing it for some time. She bluntly said \yes I've been doing it for years\, stuck the needle in and my god! Did it hurt or what? I am no fan of needles but in Australia I've never had it hurt so much and sometimes I do not even feel anything if they are good. It seems this HNO / ENT they couldn't care less. The next day my arm I kid you not had a bruise the size of a tennis / baseball, and I NEVER bruise so you can imagine how much it hurt. After all this ordeal I asked for a report for my insurance and if it could be in english (they charged me an extra 25 euro for this for some reason, even though the doctor could speak english fine so it is not like they needed a translator) and it was 4 lines with 5 words a line. Shortest report ever. (It wasn't really a report basically an extremely short summary) Oh and to get this report, it took no less than 5 phone calls asking them constantly where it was. They just kept repeating it is on it's way. 2 Weeks pass (they are 5 min drive way) and still nothing so I had to go back in and pick it up. AVOID this place. There are MUCH better HNO's / ENT's elsewhere in Dusseldorf.

Ich schätze an Herrn Dr. Bartsch die freundliche, geduldige und direkte Art. Er ist im Gespräch gut gelaunt und es macht Spaß hier zum Arzt zu gehen. Man fühlt sich gut aufgehoben und sachlich-kompetent aufgeklärt. Die Wartezeit variiert und kann auch mal ein bisschen länger sein. Das lag bisher (soweit ich das beurteilen kann) immer am hohen Patientenaufkommen und nicht daran, dass langsam gearbeitet wird. Das Praxis-Team ist sehr freundlich. Auch bei Frau Dr. Hoffmann-Becking fühlte ich mich bei einer früheren Behandlung in sehr guten Händen.
