Worst service ever!! Because they labeled my package contents incorrectly (as prescription medicine, when they were only supplements) it took us 2 weeks (!!!) and an additional USD 150 to get the package out of customs. I want the Fr. 140 I payed for the sending, back!!!

Never had a problem with DHL in Lucerne and today they just amazed me. I called the contact center to schedule a return to online shop. Firstly, there is an option to choose an english speaker, the person who spoke to me was very nice and even called me back when the phone connection was interrupted. Secondly, a courier picked up the package right after 10 MINUTS after I finished the call. Excellent service!

DHL POOR SERVICE DISRESPECT TO CUSTOMERS I was waiting the whole day for an important parcel. In the evening I have uncovered, that DHL courier just left the “Benachrichtigungskarte” in my mailbox without ringing the doorbell… I was trying to understand why they would do such a trick? The only reason which came to my mind is, that they had the courier on the road near my place in Lucerne when they received my parcel to their storehouse in Ebikon. Thus, instead of going back to the DHL Ebikon storehouse and bringing the parcel to my place in Lucerne, the courier just dropped the note, that nobody was at home when he/she tried to deliver the parcel. If they really wanted to deliver the parcel, they could have called me on my mobile phone, which I gave to the parcel sender and which was given to DHL… So why the do all of this? They probably count on you to pickup the parcel by yourself, as this is one of the options they give when they drop the “Benachrichtigungskarte” to your mailbox. There are two options: you can either pickup your parcel by yourself in their storehouse in Ebikon or let them “deliver once more”, but you have to agree, that if they will not find you at home, they can leave the parcel with your neighbour or simply in front of your house on your responsibility. Very clever way of saving few pennies, but so shortsighted and disrespectful to the customers who pay them... It is quite shocking because DHL is a well known global courier company… Is this Ebikon specific experience? Most probably yes… I was using DHL in other places in the world and do not recall such bad experiences. Thank heaven there are other courier services available in Lucerne area, which are doing the job they are paid for and they do respect their clients!
