This is a pretty standard business hotel. The onsen is a relatively decent sized one, it was very comfortable bathing there. The rooms also have baths, so you can opt to shower in there as well. Be warned, like most Japanese hotels, the rooms are incredibly small. There is almost no space for you to walk around comfortably once you put your luggage into the room. Breakfast is provided buffet style and quite tasty.

The Hotel Route-Inn at Ena had a good central location with free parking. The hotel was clean with handy coin laundry facilities. Room was tiny with not much more room than for the bed and a very small and basic bathroom.

The hotel is part of a budget hotel chain, without budget prices. The building is ugly (unbelievable that they have more than 300 of such buildings throughout Japan), the rooms small and the beds are the worst we had in Japan. So hard that even with two people on it, they won't bend. Terrible. The breakfast is not good either when you like bread instead of warm food. The public bath is ok. Not recommended.

Perfect little (and I mean LITTLE!) room - everything you need except space. Very clean and recently refurbished I would guess. Lots of well positioned sockets. Real coffee in the lobby. Commercial, but it all works fine for a quick stay (not much reason to stay in Ena other than a pit stop). Supermarkets, convenience stores, pharmacy all within easy walk, and also the Hiroshige Museum just 750m away. Bit of a dearth of accessible restaurants for foreigners in Ena - we ended up buying sushi in Valor supermarket and eating in the room. Only later did we discover there are 2 restaurants in the hotel! Small silly thing - front desk asks you to leave key cards at reception when going out!

Decent sized twin room. Has public bath within hotel. Buffet breakfast. Family restaurant nearby which was quite good. Lawson and another larger store nearby.

Route Inn business style hotel. Always a comfortable stay here. Plenty of parking and walk to shops. Buffet breakfast is huge.
