I am an amateur culinary enthusiast and finally decided to take a more formal culinary course to hone my skills. I also wanted to get some advice from a real chef, so this was my first foray into the world of culinary institutions and I wasn't really sure what to expect. I couldn't be more pleased with my decision with Poul's French Dining School in Brittany. First off, Poul is an extremely good chef, amazing teacher and is filled with a wealth of knowledge of all things food and the restaurant business in general. Second, Poul and Niall are the most generous hosts and genuine people I have ever met. Conversation was never dull and my drink was never dry. Lastly, I would be hard pressed to find a more gorgeous home and kitchen. It has all the feel and authenticity you would expect from a 15th century home in the Bretagne countryside, yet with all the amenities of the 21st century. Whether you are a novice or experienced chef you will learn something here and have an amazing experience in the process, I can guarantee it. I'll certainly be coming back for more. I was looking forward to this meal and extremely disappointed. Tortilla chips we ordered were stale, and we got about 2 euros worth for 10. We asked for new ones, they were also stale. Mains were very small for 25/27 a piece (though they tasted very nice) . I booked a table online, and when me and my boyfriend arrived we were told we were going to be sat at the bar. I wouldn't mind if we'd just shown up, but I booked a TABLE and there was no mention that we might be seated at the bar online. Couldn't leave because they had a 40 deposit we'd lose. Was uncomfortable the whole time. Music and bartenders were too loud for us to have a conversation, this meal was supposed to be a special celebration. I ordered a strawberry daiquiri and after a 10 minute wait was told the machine wasn't working, so told them to leave it. Ended up eating and leaving as fast as we could as we weren't enjoying ourselves at all. Staff was wonderful, really nice and helpful, but I don't think I got what I paid for.

Très déçu par ce restaurant, nous nous y sommes arrêtés en ce promenant, aucun client présent ce jour là, de la poussière partout sur le banc, et un repas plus que mauvais. Il est évident que je vous déconseille ce lieux

Expérience incroyable. Nous sommes venus deux fois, une première fois en amoureux, et une deuxième fois en privatisation. C’est un endroit très intimiste et très atypique. Le chef est très agréable, et cuisine divinement bien. Les produits sont frais, nature, et exceptionnellement bien cuisinés. Voir le chef cuisiner en face de nous est un vrai plaisir, on en prends pleins les yeux ! Nous avons mangé du poisson et de la viande de grande qualité. Bref, c’était parfait, copieux, et surtout bien cuisiné ! À faire absolument, l’un des meilleurs restaurant sur Angers !
