I had Dr Nader deliver my son nearly 7 years ago and am currently under his care for another complicated pregnancy, already have had a few hospital admissions and I can not say thank you enough to the lovely midwives and Dr Nader himself. I was treated with the utmost care and felt my concerns were heard, questions answered and everyone involved in my care was totally professional and caring. I’ve been in Hawkesbury Hospital a few times over the years for various things and I have always had pleasant experiences. All the staff are amazing, from pathology, cleaners, volunteers, etc.

I waited 8 weeks for an appointment with a counselor. First appointment I didn't really like her approach or attitude but still went to second appointment. A major issue happened with my 16 yo daughter the previous day so I went in very angry. This lady say there with her head in her hands shaking her head. After about 10 mins of this I say I think I might go now to which this 'professional' replied I think that's a good idea. As I walked out I said and I probably won't be back. And she replied good! I was in a bad way and I needed help. Not to made to feel the way Gen made me feel. Next appointment came and went and I didn't even receive a call. At least we can agree that we dislike each other!
Just want to say a big Thank You to all the staff in day surgery. Especially Justine,my Mum was there on Thursday & she went out of her way to help her. A great hospital. Thanks again Sue Walker & Anne Long
Stayed overnight after having an mpfl reconstruction on left knee. I saw a visitor ignore directions to wear a mask but the staff remained totally professional. As far as my care, from admission to day surgery, through procedure and aftercare to discharge, i was looked after and cared for by an amazing group of people. They understood i have ptsd from being an excop and made my stay as comfortable as possible. They organised my discharge the next day and i would have no concerns going here in the future. Thank you to all the staff, not just for my experience but for what you do everyday.
Not a great experience. My first review ever in any form of media and it’s because I felt compelled to write it from our experience here. My wife who is pregnant had heavy bleeding late at night so we were deciding which hospital emergency to go to for a check up. We were extremely anxious as you can expect. We called ahead at Hawkesbury as it was slightly closer to us than Blacktown hospital. I asked the person on the phone if they had an Ultrasound and she said “yep yep”. We get there and after a wait, we then get advised that they don’t have ultrasound after hours. What?! 1. How can a hospital emergency not have an ultrasound? 2. How do the staff not know this? We could have ended up going to Blacktown and been in and out in the time we wasted coming and waiting around at Hawkesbury. The doctor tried his best to find a solution by getting a bedside ultrasound which is not as powerful as standard and can be inconclusive, so at that point, in our minds, if we couldn’t get a result, we would have then gone to Blacktown to get the ultrasound. So we didn’t want to be wasting anymore time at Hawkesbury. Anyway we managed to see a heartbeat so we are extremely relieved about that. Of course to top it off, there was a long wait to actually get them to discharge us so we could leave. The 1 star was for the doctor that tried his best to help.
I came across a disrespectful, rude middle aged staff member on the covid check in station at reception today while visiting my terminally ill mother in law. She ordered me around and spoke to me like I was nothing. There was no compassion shown at all. This behaviour is not what I would expect in a hospital environment. The other young staff member was lovely.
I had a very humiliating & upsetting experience at Hawkesbury Hospital - not at the fault of the staff but an outdated policy - and at 39 weeks pregnant, after my whole pregnancy and care being handled by Hawkesbury I was discharged & advised to get admitted to another hospital. I was told if at any time anything happens before I was admitted to the new hospital - I was to come back to Hawkesbury. Of course we did have a pregnancy related scare, and I called Hawkesbury after hours & was treated like a 3rd rate citizen and told to go to Emergency at the other hospital. After much backwards and forwards, they told me to come in. We sat in a room for 3 hours, til being told we could go. We ended up having the most positive birth experience at Blacktown hospital.
Gave birth to our daughter during the covid pandemic by Dr Gulati. Midwives were all lovely and attentive to all mine and our babies needs. I was happy with the care I received.
