This past December 2019 I visited the Hurtgenwald Forest to pay my respects to all who fought in this Battle. My goal was the Kall River memorial the commemorates a brave German Medical Officer who argues and won a brief truce at the Kall River bridge so his Medics could save many American wounded. I arrived at the museum late: 8 pm. However the curator and his friends were there & they welcomed me like family. I am an American Soldier today. This museum remembers the fallen of both sides and of the Herculean efforts after the war to find and bury the fallen. Thank you my friends!

i can recommend this museum to all who are interested in hürtgenwald battle. museum is inside much bigger that you would expect, with many photographic, written and other materials. mr. kreuzmann, our guide, was very kind and informative, even if i was late and disrupted his schedule. if you will be in hürtgenwald area, do not miss it!

A really nice museum full with WW2 memorabilia from the battle of the Hürtgen Forrest. I came here by accident as I was paying my respects to both sides of the fallen, it was the added bonus to a really nice day trip, definitely a lot to see..

Highky recommended. Our guide, Martin was really good and went out of his way to show us some bunkers and foxhole we otherwise wouldn't have seen. The additional sanitation (medical) bunker is also well worth a visit.
