The Bruning Museum, though overshadowed by it's more illustrious neighbors, is still well worth a visit. What it lacks in shear quantity of gold and treasure it makes up for in the way it contextualizes the artifacts and history of the region. The collection is fascinating and beautiful and is organized so as to elucidate the succession of cultures and the ways in which they were influenced by their predecessors and neighbors. The museum also shows photographs and diagrams of how the artifacts were found and excavated. Very informative!

This is another museum to visit in Lambayeque. It's near the Royal Tombs Museum and you can find a lot of pieces belonging to the Mochica culture.
A well-laid out museum with some nice selection of Pre-Colombian artifacts across a large period of time. There are three floors to view, and all of the signs are in Spanish, so it helps if you can read some. The array of ceramics is quite impressive from the different time periods are quite impressive, as well as the well-preserved mummified remains on display. I tend to tour museums slower than almost anyone I know, and this only took 1.5 hours. If you can't read Spanish, and decide to visit here, you could view the whole place in 45 minutes or less. The entry cost is 8 soles. There was a fun display of fertility and sexuality artifacts while we visited as well (adults only it said).
Incredible collection of the cultures of these lands , amazed !
It is a beautiful place with a lot of interesting information about Lambayeque and Mochica civilization. The people who attend is nice and gentle.
Has some interesting stuff, but not nearly as much as El Señor de Sipan.
nice place to learn about Peruvian culture
Very interesting museum, featuring finds from a nearby "Huaca" site. My favorites were a masterpiece gold earring from the Lambayeque civilization and earlier ceramics from Moche culture using animal forms as pottery tops. Cool!
