Today my visit to this delightful Bar ended with a very sour taste in my mouth. We are regulars here and they do have the best caffe inside the Walls of Lucca. Today we had our same order as always but instead of being charged 4.60 euro we were charged 7.00 euro :(. I just dont understand why our normal order almost double in price in a few weeks? I am 100% sure they wont miss me with all the tourists that are around but they will want us when business are slow. Such a huge pity.

Lucca has many wonderful bars and cafes, but none quite as outstanding as Caffe Puccini – I love this place. Snuggled in the sociable part of town, where everyone meets for their evening aperitivo, it's easy to walk past this unassuming establishment. The owner is a perfect host – charming and helpful, and also very funny – who will make sure you get exactly the right wine to suit your taste (his English is excellent, so you can relax). Of course, the coffee is impeccable and there are plenty of delicious things to nibble. In short, don't visit Lucca without popping by Caffe Puccini.
Bad service. Arrogant personnel/owner who has more eyes for passing women, then his own customers. Left us with two kids waiting for ages and we were not allowed to use the bathroom. We tried to order some food, but we were told that this was only for cocktails and happy-hour. 3 minutes later someone ordered a coffee with food and got it straight away. I think this cafe only wants young and single customers, no families.
Went there today for breakfast and found out they didn’t accept cards after I had ordered. Had enough cash only for the food and the waitress was kind enough to offer me a drink anyway. Very friendly here and I will definitely be back. The food was very tasty as well!
Small bar, friendly waiter, decent prized cocktails with some snacks. Nice for an Italian breakfast too
