Excellent homemade Tuscan food, very friendly atmosphere, great knowledge of local wines, excellent value for money. A must for anyone visiting Montalcino and wanting to taste genuine local food and wine. We have lunched and dined here innumerable times over a number of years. Will not change it for the world! So you think this simple check of 36 included 2 dishes, an appetizer and one glass of wine? False! At il Moro, an amazing family style restaurant this meant: - tasting of 2 different olive oils with 2 plates of breads - tasting of 4 different, delicious Tuscan wines - 2 massive plates of pasta - one big plate of carciofi - one 1l bottle of sparkling water - a whole bottle of Grappa as digestivo - a glass of vino santi with almond biscotti Add to that the amazing, friendly and wonderful service and this has easily been one of the best experiences in Tuscany!
Cannot be better than this. Amazing food, even better wines and the most delightful service! We'll be back very soon!
