The Russian-Arab Business Council (RABC), headquartered in Moscow and Beirut, was created by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (RF CCI) and the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture of Arab States (the General Union of Arab Chambers as for now) and works in close collaboration with them. It comprises the Russian and the Arab units headed by the Chairmen. The Russian part was founded in August 2003, the Arab one – in October in the same year. The Russian-Arab Business Council is as follows: • Foundation of bilateral business councils. The bottom line is to develop relations and coordinate activities between representatives of large and medium-sized businesses. • Arrangement of sessions, meetings, business forums, conferences, and roundtables in Russia and in the Arab states with the participation of business leaders. • Expansion of business footprint and international ties.
