A must visit place. Everything is beautiful there. The lake is frozen during the winter and we can walk over the water. Magnific! :)

Swedish nature at its best, all year round!
I was staying at a really nice hotel in the center of Stockholm that -- surprisingly -- did not have a sauna ("bastu" in Swedish). I asked the concierge where I could find a public sauna and I'm SO happy that I was given directions to get on a public bus and come here to Hellasgården. It's one of my very best memories of this particular trip to Stockholm. In Sweden, you're SUPPOSED to be social with the other guys in the sauna, and the guy sitting next to me was really nice and I found out he worked for Spotify. The sauna cabin (stuga) was right next to a lake, and as is the custom, when it became too hot for too long, my new friend and I ran down the narrow dock and jumped in the lake! Incredible experience! Sweden is just fantastic in the summer time. All in all, a VERY inexpensive visit, that I'll always remember.
One of the best recreation areas close to Stockholm city. Swim, walk, run, ski, ice skate , jogging, play and have fun! Enjoy a fika or lunch at the cozy restaurant!
Amazing place for short hike
Nice outdoor area with outdoor gym, bathing possibilities and waking routes. Possibilities for barbecue, iceacream and miniatyrer golf. Good food at Storstugan, at times there can be quite a lot of people, Nice to sit outside when the weather permits. Playroom för Children in the basement.
