Fort is not being kept well maintained by ASI. There are destruction everywhere. Local governments should care this monument. Najibuddaula fort is the historical significance of the city of Najibabad in Bijnor district. Nawab Najib-ud- Daula was a noted Rohilla tribal chief in 18th century Rohilkhand, who in the 1740s founded the city of Najibabad. and made this fort.

The land fort is having good fortification, bastions, gate and some ruins. This fort built by Nawab Najib-ud-Daulah alias Gulam Kadir during the 18th century after the downfall of the Mughal Empire. He is also known as Najib Khan was a noted Rohilla Muslim warrior and serviceman of both the Mughal Empire and the Durrani empire. And who in the 1740s founded the city of Najibabad. And the city is also known as "Gateway of Himalayas" and "shehro ka shehar". It was addressed as Sultana Dakoo’s (Sultana Dakait) shelter by the English East India company.
