The biggest train station in Napoli! Great station!
Watch out for the scam of the ticket sellers! 3 times out of 4 they have tried it till I have figured it out. When you buy two, the top one is for the correct price, the bottom one bit cheaper. Sometimes 1 or 2 euro. They pocket the money, and if the train control comes, it's big penalty for you. Always check if both tickets have the correct price!
Unfortunately we have been SCAMMED here. Be aware if you pay by card because they overcharge you. We were supposed to pay 5,60 EU (2,80 each) for two tickets to Sorrento but were charged 15,60 EU instead. They do it really quickly so you have no time to check. Also, don’t throw away your tickets so you can prove it and get your money back, although there is no guarantee for that.

it is nice in terms of architecture and everything. But it is full with scammers and street sellers/beggars. One must be very prudent in this area
Be careful of the ticket vendors for the Pompeii trains. I bought tickets and hurried thru the gate cuz the train was about to depart. I didn't have time to count my change, but the vendor gave me 2 one euro coins instead of the correct 2 two euro coins. Another person was in a hurry to catch the train, so it happened to her also. It was an older, fat man so be on the look out for him and all other vendors. He was friendly, but don't be fooled by that.
The station is structurally well organised. However, services are still scarce and security not granted.
