Ancient (Greek \u003e Roman \u003e Spanish) water reservoirs turned WWI shelter caves. This counted as just 1 shelter cave, and there were hundreds in Naples - all independent (not connected). The high ceilings reminded me of cellars in the Champagne regions. About 5 interesting sketches. Some tunnels were extremely narrow as to approximately 50x150cm - might be a challenge for some visitors. In the tour everyone had to go through several tunnels. Usually the guide at front could only lighted for the person behind him, so I used my phone’s spotlight several times. The guide was informative but at times I found his English accent difficult to understand. I gave this tour only 3 stars because of accessibility (those tunnels), wow effects (not as I expected e.g. real water pools in other similar tours), not many objects to see. I’d suggest other tours if it’s your first time.

Visited this in Summer 2019. The guide was brilliant, his passion for the place really showed through and we immediately saw why! Such an amazing and interesting place, a must see in Napoli. Only things to note are; the passage ways are extremely narrow and tight at times but it's not necessary to go through any of these, you have to go down multiple flights of stairs and also go back up!

Highly recommend. Costs 10 and you get to see the underground tunnels and learn how this placed was used as aqueducts and a bunker during the world war.

I loved this your. It was 10 and worth every Euro. There is so much history under Napoli, but I really appreciated the modern history focus (WWII). Luca was out tour guide, and he spoke in English clearly and with enthusiasm. It was an educational and entertaining tour. I would take this tour again in the future if I pass through Napoli again in the future.

Through the ancient water reservoirs, caves and air raid shelters 40m below ground and the old town of Napoli. Hughes rooms and then most narrow crevices in the wall where you think you won't fit and there is news back or forward... lost forever in the dark below Napoli! It is a fantastic experience and with the great expansions of the guide you think you feel the bombs of the second world war exploding above you. Absolutely worth and a must do in Napoli!
