Rogue people in there pretending to be staff members at the ticket machines. Given brief advice at the ticket counter despite speaking Italian, resulting in getting the wrong train - 2 hours lost. The stench of urine near the station is unreal - the surrounding area is rather unpleasant.

You must have heard that this area is not safe especially in the night. Yes, cab drivers, Airbnb owners warn us too. Though I did not face any issue extra precaution never hurts. Right folks. We actually took the train to Naples and then boarded a local train to Sorrento. Mind it, when you take a local ticket to Sorrento, at the ticket window, do count your change. They cheated me and gave me 3 euro less and as it was crowded, I did not even see. Later on, I regretted why I left the window without checking the change. Also, pickpockets, yes dear they are everywhere. For local trains to Sorrento (Amalfi coast) – follow the sign and you 'll reach the platform one level below. Those trains, it’s vandalized completely by graffiti. This station is located in the square dedicated to Giuseppe Garibaldi and serves as the main departure station for Naples. There are 2 levels, the lower level of the station includes the Piazza Garibaldi and Circumvesuviana annexes (the latter serving private local trains to Pompei and Sorrento). Naples Central Station is the main station of the city of Naples and is one of the most important in Italy, being the 6th largest (50 million passengers). Yes, it's crowded and confusing too. Especially you can’t enter the platform at all gates so it leads to the conjunction.

!!NON BENE!! !!NON FIDARTI DEL PERSONALE!! !!CHIEDERE SEMPRE OPZIONI A PERSONALE DIVERSO!! When we were traveling to Rome, we needed to reverse some seats for the 10:31 train and we went to the information desk to find out where to go to reserve these seats. The unprofessional staff member said we could just use our Eurail pass and sit anywhere. When the train arrived this obviously wasn’t true. We were a little suspicious about that information, but decided to listen to it because it’s a worker and they should know more than us. We had to run for another train just to make sure we don’t miss out plane. We have used the Eurail multiple times and this is the ONLY place we had an issue with. Very disappointed! DO NOT TRUST STAFF HERE. GET MORE INFORMATION FROM OTHER WORKERS TO MAKE SURE YOU GET WHAT YOU NEED!!!

Central station is a very clean and friendly place. If you are going to Rome, Salerno, Florence they have the an actually office that you can talk to a live person that will guide you the right way and tell you what you need to take for your future destination.. Don't worry about walking in to the right of wrong office they will guide you .

Apparently this Public place doesnot have any Public toilet. You literally walk to the end of Station and find a single payed dirty toilet for 1 Euro entry with a long queue. No wonder people are pissing around station in street corners..
