I joined in November 2020 still trying to find out what event I am good for...coming from a football background it was hard to determine as I was a goalie..I had done time trials for 100 meters,200 meters,1500 meters and 5km in which I got 14 seconds , 28 seconds , 5 minutes and 19 minutes respectively.. Coach had assigned me to middle distance after analysing my running style and recently in February I had done a time trial for 300 meters for which I got 39 seconds... averaging 13 seconds per 100 meters so I had finally found my race and the coach helped me push to a very good extent and I’m happy that I’ve improved by a massive margin. The coach is friendly outside the track and passionate and motivated on the track and it becomes very infectious.

Hi my name is Yuvan, 16. I am a 100 and 200m sprinter. I joined Spark Athletics in late 2020 and have spent 7 months training under Coach Tamilselvan Sir. From the day I have joined the academy sir has helped me improve my sprinting. He has corrected my running form and has given me good training. He understands the person, their needs and their strengths and weaknesses. His training is quite intense and sometimes pushes you to your limits, which is a good thing in my point of view. He is extremely friendly with kids and even with his senior athletes. In my case there have been days when sometimes I don't feel like training, but sir even emphasizes mental toughness and helps motivate all his athletes. He truly knows how to form a good bond with his athletes. I have seen good improvements in my race timings since I joined the academy and also my overall fitness.
The best Athletic coach I've seen so far.Tamizlchelvan Sir has a huge passion for coaching and moreover He also mentors the child very well.He has produced many national medals through his kids who've followed his training.Iam totally satisfied with him and would definitely suggest him to any parent/individual who are interested in improving thier physical strength and endurance.He is also a NIS B certified Athletic coach which is one of the best acclaimed institute in India to certify trained coaches.
