The Shakti Sthal is a memorial for the former Indian Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, who was assassinated by her bodyguards in revenge for Operation Blue Star. The memorial site features wall of honour with a biography of Gandhi in English and I guess Hindi on either side of an enlarged photograph. The memorial is a large, rough cut monolithic stone of grey, red and maroon. The memorial is set in a large grassy area adjacent to an artificial lake. The wall provides helpful information about Indira Gandhi, but the monolith memorial is too abstract

We can remember our beloved PM seeing the monument. It is a simble of sacrifice. Nationalisation of banks was her landmark job. We should remember her in this way.
