Very pleasant place. Warm & bright place. Ancient looking bungalow type but clean and neat. Only complaint is finding a washroom is not easy and also no separate washrooms for male, female. Food and desserts are good though.

Mr. M.D.H. Jayawardhane's bungalow has been renovated as a Sinel Rest and Residences (වලව්ව). It's fully furnished with old solid wood furniture in antique finish. They also have rooms, swimming pool, bar facilities etc. Nice place in heart of the city Padukka. Good for all the special occasions. Everything is good but something needs an improvement.

Never think of choosing this place to spend your preious moment.These are a bunch of thieves gambling people's money.When we contact them for bookings, they show us a heaven and its a hell in real.The water supple suddenly stops on and off and the wash rooms are cheap.in the middle of the night the water suoply suddenly stopped and when we inquired, this thief so called manager ANANDA started threatening us to be quite and the water wont come till morning.Even he first refused to return the deposit and we fought to get it back.The owner named Mehndra Gunasekara or the name which is on google didnt even care abt the customer service.We had to leave the place at 2.30 am with our babies.All our moods were spoiled.we are going to lodge a complaint in police or consumee affairs.
Deserves zero stars. Booked the place well ahead hoping to have a good time with my whole family. The 'manager', Mr. Ananda has a huge attitude problem. We had to leave the place in the middle of the night as there were no water at all and the manager gave us a hard time without trying to actually find a solution. We had three little kids aswell with us and this was a tremendous hassle since we had no other place to go but to return home ruining our whole weekend. The place is nicely built but looks like there had been hardly any maintenance done recently. The swimming pool, washrooms were not clean at all. Not recommended for anyone who's looking to have a good time.
Old walawwa was designed to be a nice hotel and resturant. Very nice calm place to stay or to have your lunch.
