Graced with Christmas cash, I decided to retire my beloved but 18-year-old Outcast Fat Cat with a new Super Fat Cat. Good luck trying to find that locally or online; just about everyone said they were back ordered with no certain date for delivery. I found Platte River taking orders with expectation of delivery by mid January. Well, it arrived right on time, and they didn’t charge it to my credit card until it shipped. I’m very pleased. And their contact Hannah couldn’t have been more helpful.

I have been in several times and the staff has always been friendly and courteous. Unfortunately when I stop in, the person in the know is never available. Have tried to buy a fly rod from them several times. Same story, don’t know if we have it, come back another day when .... is working. I live quite far, and can’t ever make it when that person is working. The few times that I have been able to go during the “normal” hours that person works, they have been closed. My wife drove there today (100 miles) to look at and discuss fly rods to get me one for Christmas. Everything said they were open, NOPE, not open (again).

I have been fishing the North Platte for 20 years and I found out about Liz and Ryan’s shop about 2 years ago and there is no way there are enough characters on my phone to explain about how lucky and happy I am to have found them!!!!! Talk to Liz and you immediately want to invite her to your family’s Thanksgiving dinner. Ryan is another story... just joking bro. Ryan is awesome as well. Their whole operation is 5 star with a great family feel. Highly recommended!!!

Hannah was incredibly responsive! I was looking hard for an Outcast Super Fat, and coming up goose eggs til I contacted her at Platte River. She was able to get me a boat within a week, when everyone else was saying March or April. I will be up to Casper to fish with her guides come spring.

I am truly impressed by the customer service I received from Hannah and everyone at the shop. I bought online from MI. My initial interaction was through email and their honest and straightforward response to that email really started this. Then dealing with a brand that doesn't really match my body size and shape, the return process evening during this time was top notch. Thank you Hannah and everyone else that helped get me the best waders for me plus some extra swag gear.
