My husband had the best care. The staff is friendly. The services are excellent! I am using them over and over for his respite care for sure!

The staff tries very hard to not only take care of the physical needs of the patients, but also provide them with kindness and friendship. My friend Cheryl is not an easy person, and they still hug her, and listen to her stories, and let me sprinkle birdseed in the garden so she can have subjects to draw. They certainly do more than just bring her pills (as some do elsewhere). I am grateful.

I cannot tell you how wonderful Roo Lan staff were to my family and especially my father. He had been turned away from several agencies for one reason or another and had, basically was almost thrown out on his ear by Tacoma General. They were loving, caring and ever so patient. I cannot recommend them enough. If I could I would take every single staff out to dinner to show my appreciation.

This is Martha's mother writing this review. My brother went there and everything was okay...not great while he was paying 8,500.00 a month...but a few p months after his hundred thousand dollars was gone tney put him on a new medication and said he acted up...telling several versions of the story and then they kicked him out of there...he is doing fine on his new medication but they said his dementia is worse now than it was....when I took him there I asked do you take all his money and kick him out and they said. NO he would be welcome there the rest of his life. Which apparently was a lie...did they think his dementia was going to get better? So unless you want them to take all of your family members money..and then kick them out...I DON'T recommend you take them there.

They push abuse under the rug when it's reported and then harrass and retaliate against staff that reports. And to the response: if that were in fact true why did you lose 5 amazing employees in one week who reported and then got harrassed and had the facility use the Whistle Blowing Act against them. The abusers were spared and never lost a paycheck. In both the lodges and skilled nursing facility.
