Very well maintained. Not big cave. Half an hour is what you need to explore this caves. But Mia visit since it’s very near to Harvalem falls
Seventh century Shaivite caves as written on the notice board of the Archaeological Survey of India. There are two edifices and one shrine here. The first edifices has four shrines with Shivalinga. One of the Shivalingas has donative inscriptions. The second edifice has one sanctum sanctorum. The third shrine has an altar with eight holes or sockets that perhaps had the Saptamatrika images with Ganesha that are now either missing or in a museum somewhere.
A small cave with 6 Lingas carved in different designs...!!!
Ancient rock carved caves, these are been carved off a single rock, easy to notice from the road heading to haravalem waterfalls. The site is managed by Archaeological Survey of India. The waterfall is evergreen, nice scenic place near to sankhali city. The only bad thing here is there are no washroom facility available for visitors making it very inconvenient... The local/state authorities should look in to the matter soon
Good for history lovers. Off beat place.
This cave is near by the harvalem waterfall one can enjoy the silent peaceful place here
