Beautiful place to ski or walk, skiing can only be done in the winter here, but walking can more or less be done the entire year 'round. In the winter, anyone can take the ski lift up and down, but in the summer, you'll have to walk if you want to go up or down the mountain. There's a lot of parking space, but don't expect to find a place in the winter, it's normally not a problem at all for the rest of the year. There's places to eat and drink both on top of the mountain, as well as at the bottom.
This is a very nice station with an access to an easy and a medium difficulty slopes. A quick access from the bottom main station. Although, there is a strong negative about this particular station, which is a bad design of the gondola exit, that makes is unnecessarily hard for snowboarders. I saw a lot of even experienced boarders falling and hurting ankles cause of the wrong height to falling angle ratio and a challenging exit profile here. Hope, that they will fix it for the next season.
The hotel was very clean and I had a great view of the mountins. I realy enjoy staying there.
A beautiful town andrew well sheltered grim the elements. Schlik 2000 and the Stubai Glacier were closed due to 7m per second winds; we drove here and had a great 4 hours riding before driving to Innsbruck airport our flight back to Birmingham England. It's a perfect little town for a day trip from Innsbruck, or on your way to or from the surrounding Garmiche towns.
Great place for ski and eat
Reasonably easy hike up this ski run to see spectacular views over the mountains. It takes about an hour to hike up from Mosern and then enjoy some refreshments at the Sonnenalm Gasthof. You can then walk down the actual ski run or take a ski lift ride down. I prefer to hike as the views going down into Seefeld are breathtaking. Also worth a walk around is the new for this season Kaltwassersee lake which feeds the snow making machines for winter. The reflections of the surrounding mountains in the lake are ethereal. Check it out!
Been skiing here since like 1980. This is a ski slope that never bores. You can take it as blue, you can take it as red or even as black on some parts. Too bad the Reith slope has been closed since 2013 now (because of local political feuds it never got upgraded). Also the number of interruptions of the lift are annoying, partly due to all the pedestrians on it, partly because of many beginners who fail to hop on or off. Investments in better infrastructure are desperately needed in Seefeld. But the mentality in Seefeld is: if people keep coming, why should we invest?
