源平合戦や長州の異国船打ち払いなどの歴史の知識があると感無量です。ただ義経と知盛の像は東を背にしているので午前中は逆光になってしまいます。 綺麗な公園として整備されていて長州藩の加農法があったり近くには関門人道トンネルもあり、ベンチ、飲み物の自販機もあるので関門海峡の潮の流れの複雑さを眺めながらゆったり散策できます。
