There are a number of tour agents in NJP who target first time tourists going to North East. They cheat in the name of package and sell you to local tour operators in North East with hefty commission. They give the worst hotel and worst food in the city, the local tour operators don't help because the get only small amount what you pay. We bought package from New Ma Tara tourism in NJP compound, they charged us 2600 for reserve cab buy paid only 1400 to the driver. On the package they charged 33% commission and sold to another local tour operator, they will not pick your call or call you back. I would suggest go to Gangtok and connect local tour operator or book from trusted sites. I spk with many fellow tourists and they all were feeling cheated who booked packages in NJP. People who booked from local tour operators in Gangtok have got the same deal with half price.
This tourist agency is completely a worst agency for travelling. 1st they'll told u the package and take advance from u. After that they'll provide u worst hotels and travelling plans and make harrased throughout whole journey. Please dnt make ur trip under this agency as they r not punctual....
