Super authentic medieval castle transformed into a beautiful hotel. Easy check-in, a good a'la carte restaurant, clean and tidy rooms and smiling staff. Located 3 minutes from the Autobahn overlooking the peaceful regional nature.

We stayed two nights here and were amazed by the castle and its surroundings. We had a 3 course meal on the first evening which was delicious and served by very friendly staff. It was a magical three days spent in a beautiful castle. The only down point I could make is that there was no where to dispose of the dog poop bags from our little dog.

Awesome place! The buffet was EXCELLENT. There is so much to walk around and see in this quaint and typically German town! A must visit!!!!

Lovely castle and beautiful area. The restaurant was very good but our waiter took away our wine before we could finish it. Other than that it was a wonderful stay.

Great old castle atmosphere. The rooms are very nice and clean, bathrooms are modern. There were homemade Christmas cookies to welcome us at the reception desk, the employees were very nice and accommodating. My brother was on crutches and they made sure to give him a room he could access and put his children in a room nearby. The breakfast had a great variety of foods and was included in the price

The hotel was overall nice. I was a little disappointed that our room was not in the actual castle, but what looked like an extension that was built on. Everything was of course clean and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was very good. A few downsides though: (1) very slow internet - couldn't load any videos. (2) There was a fan that automatically turned on in the bathroom and would run for 10 min or so - very loud at night and just annoying in general that it can't be turned off. (3) The food was not good at all. We paid around 30EUR a person for a special winter buffet that was terrible. I really expected more in that respect. We will probably not stay here again, but if you are looking to, I would recommend just booking breakfast and eating dinner out.

We only visite the burg ruine and have a walk around. I know that you can rent the old burg ruine for an event (wedding or something else). There are a lot of stairs. Not easy to walk with a stroller. But great view and a part of history. Nice place to visit. We didn't visite the Restaurant or hotel.
