I called this estate agent this morning regarding a property listed today on Rightmove. It is the first time I’ve called this agent. I was put through to Sue, whom I assume is Sue Bridges. I began the conversation saying I was “ calling about the 4 bed house advertised on Rightmove today. At that point I was very rudely interrupted and told “ it is not a house it’s a bungalow ..” a little shocked at this but thought I’d just let it go I tried to make a joke of it and said “ oh well a house is a house “.. I was then very patronisingly told that “ no a house has 2,3 or more stories, a bungalow is all on one level so this is not a house it’s a bungalow “!!! I was gobsmacked ! I then said,” I’ve just moved back to the area so forgive me please if I’m not familiar with all your different terms for houses, bungalow”, and that was pretty much that .., by then I wouldn’t dream of buying or selling a property through this lady. She neither said hello or enquired as to my name, my position as a buyer. Seriously I was very insulted .. to Sue Bridges .. I’ve lived in terraces, flats, bungalows, mansions, detached, semi detached, apartments, sold & bought numerous properties, if you search properties to buy/sell .. the generic term is house and rather than engage me as a new customer you just rudely correct me for naming a property you list as a house ( see pic) as a house ! See how silly that sounds .., Never been so patronised, you need to realise buyers can also be sellers and based on the very unfriendly manner in which you spoke and the fact that you didn’t even bother to ask my name or make any enquiries as to my position you are doing your customers an injustice .. and I would not buy or sell a house through this company
