Visited Aug 2019. See pics attached. Nice masjid/maqbara. I could not enter the maqbara. Difficult to photograph the site since there's not much space around it. Nice lattice work. Go around the site to have a better look.

On the Chakla Bazaar road leading onto Ved Road, one comes across this magnificient mausoleum where Khudawand Khan, Governor of Surat in 1546,lies buried. This place is among some of the most popular places in Surat having historical importance. As a consequence of continuous piratical raids by the Portuguese in the city of Surat, the city was experiencing a dark time which was tackled by the then Governor of Surat, Khudawand Khan. The tomb is beautiful and is made using Islamic caricature and architecture. There is a plaque with information about the life of Khudawand Khan near the tomb. But it needs care and maintenance as its condition in ruining. Timings are from sunrise to sunset.
Very good
Heritage site...the only Indo-Iranian style architecture of Surat. "Rojo" is where Masjid (mosque) n Dargah exist together at one site. Built by then Surat governor Rajab Rumikhan during the reign of Sultan Ahmed Shah III. Khwajasafar Salmani alias Khudawindkhana was father of Rajab Rumikhan. It still has its historical grandeur in its architecture. A must visit for every Surti and heritage site admirer.
