I am a registered nurse and my mom is at tabor hills for rehab!!! I am embarrassed as a nurse of the care my mom is receiving!!! Physical therapy was ranked high but they just laid off all their therapists to save money and now hire agency therapists. Today they told my mom they were short staffed so she got 15min of therapy. The nurses or technicians never walk my mom because “ therapy does that “ Not a darn thing happens on the weekends so mom is in bed all day and everyday getting weaker and weaker!!! Call lights take forever to be answered and thus incontinence happens or mom tries to get up and falls! Staff seems to not care about their jobs and never smile. The food is terrible and causes diarrhea. I could go on and on as I have nothing positive to say about Tabor Hills!!! Please pick somewhere else for care and rehab please!!!!!

A caring, clean and supportive community, Tabor Hills Staff and Nursing have not only been there for my Mother, but for our family as well. Good communication is key, and I appreciate how pro-active they are in keeping us updated and in the know regrading my mother and her health. Thank you!
Excellent Nursing Staff and Care but terrible social services and financial administration. Yes, I am upset as I write this review! First off let me say that the nursing staff, aides, and medical care given to my mother-in-law were top notch. So was the physical and occupational therapy team. The facility is very clean and most of the floor staff is very attentive. Our gripe is with the administrative end of the organization for not doing their job and not proactively working with families to figure out what options are available and what would work for the elderly patients. My mother-in-law went to Tabor Hills to get back on her feet after a fall that broke her hip. Having never dealt with elder care issues, my wife and I were lost and searching for answers. Don't expect any help from the social services team at Tabor Hills. To make a long story short, make sure your loved one has a lot of cash in the bank and readily available if you want to gain access to Tabor Hills long term. Also, do not hold any expectation that they will approve your application without said liquid assets readily available. Most importantly, have very specific conversations about your situation early in the process if you are having any thoughts of keeping your loved one there after Medicare says you are done. Otherwise you will find yourself without a plan while Tabor Hills is asking you to leave. By the way, make sure you arrange to get your loved one a walker or other required medical equipment as you won't get much help from Tabor Hills Social Services department!
This review is directed towards Human Resources. My retired mother went there a few weeks ago for a job and was told she needed to take a food handlers test for the job. So she took it online and passed with flying colors, HOWEVER, she never received a call back FROM ANYONE regarding the job after the interview. YES the test was ONLY 7.00, but how about instruct applicants that you wish to come back for a SECOND interview for. You made my mother get her hopes up for extra income and you also made her spend 7.00 something that wasn’t necessary. Again, it’s only 7.00, but for someone who is on a limited income that’s ridiculous.
