Wonderful hosts: young, enthusiastic, warm and welcoming. Made great suggestions of things we could do while there. The food was great, and what a view! The room was luxurious, but also comfortable and well appointed. We loved our stay, and couldn't recommend it more highly!

Im usually reluctant to give 5 stars and it has to be exceptional before I do. For Brad and Breidi I would easily give them a full 10. Lovely couple and will go out of their way to make the stay here a good one. The rooms were immaculate to say the least and the standard of cleanliness and service to the rooms was impeccable. The food Brad prepared was just great. The other staff we breifly met also were just great. I would highly recommend Cabot Lodge / Cathedral Peaks station for a luxury vacation. The farm tour was very good and interesting to say the least.

Cabot Lodge is one of Fiordland's best kept secrets and certainly one of the best luxury lodges we have visited in New Zealand. The rooms were Luxurious and the views were spectacular. The Diners and Breakfast were five star plus, and having Brad prepare the meal in front of us and talk to us while he did so made us feel like we had our own private Chef. The farm tour is well worth doing and topped off a great stay. If you want to view a spectacular night sky then Cabot Lodge is the place to do it from. Brad and Breidi were great hosts and no request was too much trouble, they catered to our every whim. We will certainly be back. Leo OS

I last visited it close to 2 years ago with my father. I finally got around to review it as a reminisced on the amazing times we had in the NZ. There’s nothing better you could ask for. Awesome service by a lovely couple. Their food was excellent, I remember how good the lamb and vegetables was and absolutely loved the cold smoked salmon. Well worth the money, treated like family

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. The hotel owners (Breidi and Brad) were wonderful and made our stay a truly special one. We were in Milford Sound during the day and wanted to stay nearby. I’m so happy to have found this place and would highly recommend to everyone in the area. The property is located on this 2000 acres of family owned farmland. Our room had an amazing view, and the bed was so comfortable I didn’t want to get up in the morning (also towels/robes were so plush and soft). This place is definitely about quality. In the morning, Brad made us a delicious homemade breakfast. My husband wanted to play with the sheep on the property so Brad took us to see the family’s pet sheep, Millie and Tillie (3rd one was shy so we didn’t get to meet her). They were so adorable. Brad also let us feed their miniature pony, which was quite an experience of its own. We have stayed at many different hotels during our travels, and this family owned lodge is definitely one of the best.

On arriving at Cabot Lodge we anticipated your standard Luxury Lodge, but It was much more than we expected, mainly due to the hosts Breidi and Brad who were not only extremely professional but were very warm and friendly hosts. The food was outstanding! and Breidi was always coming up with brilliant suggestions and hand written notes/ maps with guidelines for local sights and places to visit. Being based on the family West Coast Sheep Station was an added bonus as the sheep were entertaining. We have stayed in many lodges in NZ but this is definitely a must Lodge if you are ever in this part of our country. Barry & Christina Cairns

We recently had three nights at the lodge and at no time did we feel anything other than a complete sense of contentment in both the facilities and hospitality extended to us. Breidi and Brad have a true understanding of the concept of Manaaki - that is to take care, show generosity and give hospitality to others. As a result we could not have had a more enjoyable time at this unique property in a very special part of New Zealand.

OMG!!! WOW!! Cannot wait to get back here ....... I know this seems like a very unusual way to start a review but it is very accurate I promise..... From the moment you arrive, you are met with the warmest welcome, Breidi and Brad are the most gracious hosts The Suites are beautiful, with a spectacular view from every room and I cannot forget to mention the heavenly gardens We were spoilt from the moment we arrived, delicious canapes every evening, matched wines with every evening meal and designer (made with love and care) breakfasts - what more could a guest ask for?? We stayed for 3 nights as my birthday treat and on the final night Brad lit the fire in the Library and we enjoyed a very special evening discussing our return visit We just love this place, please come and visit, I know you will love it too.....
