No point in being a member here. Every time you go in “this is closed” “that is closed” “this is being rented out” “that’s being rented out”. What’s the point in being a member of I can’t use the facilities. They need to take “non profit” out of their name because that’s all they care about is money. The basketball courts should be for members to use when they want, instead it’s used to rent out to men’s basketball leagues and old rich people who want to play “pickle ball”. On top of that, they have an old upstairs gym I’d have no problem using instead but no... “there’s classes going on up there”, “it’s occupied at the moment”, “there’s gym equipment up there right now”. PATHETIC. Not to mention, the same thing goes on with the pools, you can never use them on your time. It’s gotta be on the ymca’s time or never.

The YMCA has the best staff and the best management. They are always nice every time you see a staff member or need help or have a question about something. All the equipment is always clean and wiped down. All staff and everyone in the gym is wearing a face mask and the staff checks your temp as you come in the door. This is the best gym in Richmond!

I haven't been there since February due to the coronavirus and I told them I wanted to cancel it back in August and they said they would. I get a charge on my card that they had saved for my account. I call to take care of it and they told me i didn't cancel even though the person on the phone told me it was taken care of. I am really upset with how rude they was with me over the phone saying that it was my responsibility even though they didn't inform me last time of having to come in and cancel it. They seem like they are only after your money!

The Y is under new management and is a great place to work out! The members are diverse and welcoming. More than 60 classes are offered each week, 7 days a week. Child care is included in membership and they offer a lot of activities for kids.
