It is quite far from Tokyo but it is really a cool place. You can cliff jump, hike, swim or just hang around. There are no shops nearby tho. Come with your friends and have fun all day. There is a good hotel nearby.

This is an alternative starting point for Mt Kawanori. There are no convenience stores nearby, but there are some vending machines and a couple noodle shops (reasonably priced).

ステンドグラスが素敵な駅です 駅の直ぐ横に綺麗なトイレがあります

川苔山からの下山で利用しました 電車は1時間に2本ほどです 私同様乗車待ちは登山客が大半ですね キャンプ場もありますが こちらはマイカー使うでしょうしね 駅はとても綺麗です 無人駅とは思えないほど トイレも綺麗で 車もほとんど来ない駅前なので 子供が遊んでました 和と呼ぶにふさわしい 食べるところがない訳でもないですが もう1つなにかがあると良いなぁと思います

昭和19年開業の無人駅。吊り橋や小さな滝もある鳩ノ巣渓谷は徒歩圏内。近くの神社に2羽の鳩が巣を作り村人がそれを霊鳥として大事にした事が名前の由来だそう。
