Umetaro Azechi was a Japanese printmaker and mountain climber. It's a museum where you can feel wormth of a tree. I didn't know him, but I came to like his art. There's goods store inside. It's free to enter the goods store. Entrance fee:300 yen

A must-go place for the fans of this artist. (You will always find his drawing on mont bell T-shirts.) The museum even has a small showroom demonstrating how this artist work on his drawings. Very interesting. Sadly, the collection doesn’t include his most famous works including “the mountain guy” etc.

畦地氏の作品にゆったりと触れることができました。そして、いぜき氏について 知ることができ 感動しました。道の駅のランチバイキングも おすすめです

mont-bellで買ったＴシャツにプリントされた山男や水芭蕉にイモムシ、石鎚山の絵がほのぼのと良い味を出していました。畦地梅太郎さんという版画家がなんと三間の出身だと分かり、記念美術館が道の駅三間にある事が分かり伺いました。実物の版画や作成過程が分かる版木などが陳列してあり楽しい時間を過ごす事が出来ました。

残念ながら『岳人』での表紙は2019年10月号で終わりましたが、気になっていた美術館へ埼玉県から来て見れて本当に良かったです。

ゆっくりジックリ畦地作品を鑑賞できました。アトリエの再現コーナーや、ご本の紹介もあって、版画以外の魅力に触れることができたのが予想以上の収穫でした。一つの作品ができるまでに、何枚の版木で、どのように色をつけていったのか、過程がわかる展示なども、素人に分かりやすく、良かったです。

三間の道の駅に隣接というか、その施設内にある。 ここも含めて宇和島自動車道(無料区間)は道の駅がインターチェンジ側にある。山が好きなら絶対に訪れたい場所。 版画の絵は味があって、あたたかみのあるものであり、 一度見たら忘れられないもののように思う。
