The Convent is worth seeing if you're in the area. I would not go out of your way to see it. The Valladolid sign is awesome. The Convent itself is pretty average, albeit there is a ton of history behind the site.

Lovely to visit, if you have time grab dinner across the street. They have live music in the evening on the roof. The food is good.

Cannot say enough good things about this place. One of many highlights of my day and night in Valladolid. So much history comes with this structure. Very humbling. Built in 1552. Please do not miss this.

the entrance fee is 40 pesos per person but there is no one to explain the history of this place. you basically pay to take a look around and that's it.

Though the interior wasn't open, I still spent a couple hours walking around the colonnade in the front, the walkways around, sitting on the benches and watching the locals pass by almost oblivious to the treasure filled city they live in. I spent a good fifteen minutes watching a tribe of red ants cut leaves from a massive flower tree and carry them back to their home.

Noisy due to birds but super enjoyable

Beautiful place!! They have a video mapping show around 9pm for English and Spanish, was touching. And at the end, a group of dancers performing a small show. Was very good. You can understand more about Valladolid's history. The square is more quiet than the main in the downtown. Both are conect by the Calzada de los Frailes.
