My loved one who is only in his 50's became quite sick including a stay in ICU that required me to find a place quickly so that he could get physical therapy in order to hopefully become strong enough to come home. In this time of covid-19, the thought of putting him in any kind of rehab or nursing home was quite scary. I felt reassured as Warren Barr goes to great lengths to practice all the safety precautions. I have been nothing but impressed with the staff at Warren Barr in Highland Park. They have showed a level of professionalism, patience and availability to talk with and give family members support like no other place I have ever dealt with. The physical therapy department there is top-notch as my brother has made a lot of progress . When my brother entered Warren Barr, he couldn't walk more than 2 feet and he is now recovering at a good rate due to the effort of the wonderful physical therapists. Everybody from Etta at the front desk to Anthony and Vanessa the social workers, Joel who manages the CNA's, Nicole the nurse and all the rest of the wonderful nurses and CNAs have shown me tremendous support during this difficult time. There aren't enough words to express my gratitude for all they have done for my brother during his stay at Warren Barr. The nurses & social workers are willing to answer any questions when they arise. The ladies who work at the front desk answering the phones have also been very helpful. When I drop things off for my brother they get the items to him quickly. I could go on and on but suffice it to say I owe a big debt of gratitude to each and every person that works at Warren Barr! And thank you Michael for how wonderfully you manage Warren Barr!

My father has been a long-term resident at the Warren Barr North Shore since September 2017. We have seen some ups and downs that WBNS went through in the past three years. Overall, we appreciate the neat and pleasant living environment, the very professional and caring health providers and staff, and the competent and compassionate leadership team headed by Michael. I especially commend the excellent work that WBNS has been doing to help care all residents during the COVID-19 time. The staff here are terrific! Santana, Adam work on the floor and take good care of me. The therapists who worked with me are Carla and Romeo and they are wonderful. Stephanie NP was also fantastic. Chef Dave makes great food and i enjoyed it. Kelli from Activity Department provided a great social environment for all the resident here!

Having a 99 year old mother, who gets too weak after every acute illness and requires extensive time to regain her strength at a skilled care facility before going back to her home, I had a sad experience of seeing many of them. Warren Barr North Shore is by far the best among all of them. Her room is like a room at a 5 star hotel, the food she gets does not look like a typical institutional food and could compete with some restaurants. The staff is friendly, cheerful and very respectful. The care she gets is superb. The rehab is outstanding - she regained her energy in a matter of days and is continuing to make progress. I wholeheartedly recommend Warren Barr for anyone who in need of rehab or nursing care.

I was taken care of very well at Warren Barr. The nurses on the floor work very hard always running around. Nicole the nurse is fantastic and so is Lou. They are so nice! All departments were great. Therapy was definitely the best!
