How amazed I was too see a Woolworth, as there are none left anymore back in America. The store was clean, employees were busy straightening up the merchandise, and I needed help. Just one simple question. Sadly no one apparently spoke any English, nor did they make any attempt to help me. Instead every employee I asked "By chance do you speak English?" shook their head "No "... and immediately turned away. I am speechless.
