A great spa and lovely hotel with beautiful area around. What we liked: - helpful and friendly staff. Especially reception and restaurant - modern design, a lot of wood and very stylish hotel - spa complex is huge, well maintained and clean. You can easily spend the whole day there. - dinner at Poterne restaurant was amazing: food presentation , service, atmosphere - all was great. We really enjoyed it. - breakfast is good including a small a la carte menu, but it’s the same every day, so after 2 days it will be difficult to eat the same things. Can be more veggies to be added like avocado, bell pepper etc. Coffee was very good. What we didn’t like: - there is no information in English or German, everything everywhere in Dutch only - the hotel room has a bit of smell, like it doesn’t dry properly, so it was the smell of dampness - they serve plastic straws, that’s not cool. It’s paper or metal straws almost everywhere these days. - Food in spa restaurant was not good, especially burger. Meat was from supermarket and cooked to well done :( - People were breaking rules in spa, for example with limitation of 2 ppl in jacuzzi, it will be 4 or in sauna it says 8, but will be 12 and nobody controls or checks it. So it’s disappointing. Also people were wearing flip flops inside sauna and even step on bench wearing them and again nobody checks and fixes such rules violation.

Fort Resort Beemster is one of the best spa and wellness / hotel destinations in The Netherlands. Impressive facilities for complete unwind and reset of body and mind. Complimented by a restaurant that serves gastronomic experiences. The rooms are comfortable and nicely designed. Fort Beemster used to be a bunker, which is also pretty cool, if you see what they've done with the place. I'm not a spa lover or anything but Fort Beemster changed my view on taking a sauna or hamam treatment every once in a while.

Enjoyed our 2 night stay! Booked a full day spa, we could enter from morning until closing time in the evening while leaving to have lunch/dinner and coming back after. My partner and I decided to have dinner at the local restaurant (Poterne) and had not reserved but we were provided a seat regardless. Dinner portions are very small and posh, we don't usually enjoy "fine dining" but it was a nice 'experience'. Breakfast (included) was not an actually buffet but a platter of croissants/breads/cheese/hams is provided a choice between several 'main' items, the pancakes were delicious. The spa area is beautiful, I loved especially the outdoor part, I would return here and recommend it. The only thing was that the hotel rooms were colder than is comfortable and quite dark.

Beautiful resort and facilities, however poor reception and call handling. After visiting many times in past years, we called to make a reservation, managed to do so over phone as many times before, and arrived there to find we had no reservation, and got sent home !(understanding Covid measures of course). But since complaining, we were blatantly accused of lying that the call was ever made, in a sarcastic email exchange. This even if we showed (on the spot to start with) proof that the call made, at what time from the phone etc. Surprisingly disappointed by the treatment and the refusal to admit responsibility, and will go as far as accusing staff of foreigner discrimination. Not planning to return after this incident

Had a lovely time with a Valentines package at the spa. There are many diverse types of saunas, baths and whirlpools both indoors and outside. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Included in the package was a hammam treatment, which was a real delight I would highly recommend. Our masseuses were expert, professional and friendly. We had the three course dinner and wine arrangement after the spa, which was fantastic. Great food with interesting combinations. The service was similarly excellent. No complaints, can't wait to come back.
