Good small cabins. Don't forget to book one with kitchenette since C19 forces restaurant to be closed. Very accommodating service despite challenging business conditions.. They also operate Svanstein Ski and can help with anything related. It's a great, underrated, place to ski.

My stay was short and sweet. The owner & staff are amazing. The chalets were warm and clean. Only downside is that if you aren't part of a group tour or driving, it is a little too remote and public transport is scarce if not non existent. Taxi fares are expensive. Scenery is spectacular!
This place is amazing in winter! Snow everywhere and cozy cottages. Away from the city, it is a nice place to stay.
Came here with a large group and they had given our rooms away and then left us waiting for over 4 hours. The owner was very rude and seemed to think it was our fault and problem that we suddenly didn't have sleeping space for 32 people but his wife, Lotta, did a lot of work to find a solution so kudos to her and the rest of the staff who were nice. Unfortunately the solution was a "hotel" 1 hours walk away from the Svanstein Lodge. This meant Lotta had to drive us, 4 persons at a time, making people wait for 2 hours. So many problems with this stay, and it does seem like that there is some administrative problems but hats up to Lotta and the staff for trying their best to help us.
We've arrived with a big group here on New Year's Eve and apparently the staff made an administrative mistake and thought we'd be 77 people while we booked and received confirmation for 99. In the end they only had room for 55 people. So 32 of us were stranded. The owner, however, blamed a Chinese group for their own mistake? They gave away our cabins and proceeded to treat us rudely. Our busdrivers were not allowed to drive anymore by law as they reached the amount if hours they were allowed to drive. So, the owners decided to bring us to another hotel as compensation but with a small vehicle in which only 4 people could be seated. The poor wife had to drive back and forth to the other hotel and back for 2 hours while the husband walked away and refused to help. So, basically our new year's eve seemed to be ruined and the owner is very unfriendly and unprofessional. I am still in shock by the way he treated us. The redeemable quality of their service is that the other staff members such and the wife did everything they could to help us so we were not stranded. We stayed in a ski hostel nearby and the wife brought us all there with her car back and forth, both so we can celebrate new year's at their lodge and to bring our things at the hostel. It is too bad I did not stay in a beautiful cabin but all in all I appreciate the effort she made for us. The surrounding is beautiful. We got to see a bit of the northern lights and have fun with friends thanks to her hospitality. P.S. The only reason I am giving 2 stars and not 3 is because the hostel we stayed at was not anywhere near the quality of the cabins at their lodge. But I saw the cabins and they are superb!
Magical place, super cozy, I had my 2020years Eve here. Definitely recommend it.
