Not sure how it measures up for locals but as a foreigner, first time trying this, it was awesome. The pancake is light, eggy and full of flavor. No English spoken here and there is no English menu. But they have a set that includes a pancake, a couple of sticks of the fried skewers and a drink. Wish I knew Jap and could order something more specific. The atmosphere was thoroughly local. There was a good constant crowd of customers coming and going and everyone’s friendly, interactive and fun. You can tell the owner and chef builds a great rapport with his customers. It just felt like a spontaneous party was going to break out any moment. Great food and an instant immersion in Japanese culture. What’s to beat that?

Great food made by an even greater guy. Found this place while looking for Okonomiyaki around the train station and I can't recommend it enough. The food itself was delicious but the atmosphere of the room created by the chef made 2 hours pass before I knew it. We had a diverse crowd of people from Belgium, Tokyo, and America but we were all able to share drinks and stories. The owner has limited English but that doesn't stop him from helping people find something to order and entertaining with jokes. Come for the good food but stay for the good times.

Amazing food made by a great guy. Store owner is super friendly and entertaining, his limited English doesn’t prevent him from being a great host. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area.

This is that "special local find" that we were looking for on this holiday. The owner was friendly and helpful, and the food was tasty for the price. Beware there is no English menu available, but just ask for "O-susume" and you'll be able to enjoy a great meal. Thank you for the hospitality!

Amazing hospitality shown by the owner. Very welcoming and entertaining. Go here if you want to experience Japanese hospitality and a fun meal. Food is great too. I highly recommend the kushi katsu and beer. Would definitely return if I go back to Osaka

We only had a couple of hours in Osaka before we had to catch a train but I wanted to experience the Osaka hospitality I’ve heard about. I researched multiple places in both English and Japanese and stumbled upon this place conveniently near the station. Picking this place was the best decision of my trip so far and I would not hesitate to come back. We got negi yaki (a green onion Japanese pancake/ oknomiyaki) and a traditional one as well as classic Yakisoba (stir fry noodle.) Everything was beyond great and I would have ordered even more if I wasn’t so full already but the part that makes this place special is the owner of the store. He manages to run the whole place on his own while entertaining all the guests in multiple languages. The energy level of this place is one that cannot be matched. It’s a shame Google only has 5 stars because this place deserves 10/5.

Amazing meal! Off the main track but definitely a great place! We are two Aussies making our way through Japan and found this place on Google Maps. Decided to come here because of the great reviews and we were happy we made the walk! Owner speaks a little English and my brother speaks a little Japanese so we had a great time attempting to communicate and having great laughs! Thank you so much for a delicious meal!!
