Attended this school 1969-1971. The teaching staff were largely graduates from black colleges and universities who had migrated to California and went to grad schools locally. They were solidly dedicated. The non-black personnel were committed to civil rights and access for the students. The school was a safe haven for kids and parents who wanted more. Most students lived in the projects and presented huge challenges. I received a strong foundation here.
