A Slice of Blue Reviews | Rating 4.3 out of 5 stars (5 reviews)

A Slice of Blue is located in London, United Kingdom on 43 Lower Clapton Rd, Clapton. A Slice of Blue is rated 4.3 out of 5 in the category pizza restaurant in United Kingdom. Angelo and Pasquale, founders of Santa Maria, met Edin, founder of Firezza, and decided to create a space where they could eat some pizza, drink craft beer, listen to some fine music, and share their love for PIZZA, BEATS And BREWS. Our name comes from a blend of our favourite jazz, food and drink influences. We looked at the iconic blue cover designs of greats such as Miles Davis on ‘Kind of Blue’, ‘Blue Train’ by John Coltrane and ‘Blue’ by Joni Mitchell. We pored over countless classics from record labels such as Blue Note records. We were also inspired by the blue of Napoli, Angelo and Pasquale’s hometown. Add in a nod to classic pub names, and a reference to pizza slices, and you have it: A SLICE OF BLUE. We’re passionate about pizza Pizza is powered by Santa Maria. The ethos behind the brand is very simple: making the best and the most authentic Neapolitan pizza as possible We lovingly craft our pizzas using a traditional method where we let the dough rise for at least 36 hours. After endless, painstaking research, we only select the best ingredients on the market – and import them daily from Italy. We’re talking unrefined cold stone milled Petra flour from sustainable harvests, rare and juicy tomato sauce from San Marzano, and the best artisanal fior di latte mozzarella we can get our hands on. Perhaps it’s no coincidence that Time Out awarded us London’s best Pizza. Recognition like this doesn’t happen by accident, but from hard work sharing our passion for what we love. We love our beats As ardent music-heads we’re on a mission to host and promote the best live music – locally and beyond. We’re not fussed what kind of music it is, as long as it’s got soul. We chose Hackney to be our spiritual home as we know it’s a hotbed of amazing talent. The best Pizza in East London. Service is great and Luis, the general manager, makes you feel really welcome every time you walk in. Go and check their menu out! Words from an Italian

Great venue, staff are happy and efficient. Ice cold beer glasses, total bonus, very few places will chill a glass, nice touch. Food was disappointing though. Meatballs had to go back once and uneatable on their return. Stick to the pizzas here people. I would of loved to give this more love on the food because i like this place, but i cant, it was just average. If you cant do meatballs properly take it off the menu, its not doing any favours. That said, I would recommend this place, its got vibe. Step up the quality so I can give you more stars.

WHEN YOU ORDER IT ONLINE VS WHEN IT TURNS UP You will be devastated to see it Not only did it look like this(!) but the base was completely raw. Literally uncooked dough. I never even knew that was possible - the entire pizza was completely inedible. We took it up with Deliveroo and after a lot of arguing, got a partial refund. Based on the number of 1 star reviews, I'm guessing this isn't a one-off. Which one of yous doesn't know how to cook a pizza? Disgusting.
