Good for kids
At the foot of the protected Nørbjerg, also called Aaby Bjerg, lies a number of large stones with appropriate walking distance. The row runs to the northwest and aims straight at the bog's other mountain, Sandels Bjerg, from where there is a nice view of the bog. The new church bell at Børglum Kloster bothered the giantess in Thise. She complained of her distress to the troll, who had been her fiancé for many hundreds of years, and he decided to smash the church bell with one giant stone. He tried three times without success. The first stone hit Aaby Bjerg (Tankestedet), the second stone hit Sandelsbjerg and the third Thise hills. None of the three stones hit Børglum Monastery and the stepping stones are now gathered at Sandelsbjerg in Store Vildmosen. In the old days, the bog was a dreaded place, a giant raised bog, where you could get lost, sink in, or maybe even be attacked by robbers. It is said that these robbers lived on Sandelsbjerg, and the stepping stones in the picture were laid by the robbers according to a very cunning system. It happened from time to time that the robbers were persecuted after their robbery. The robbers knew the stones in Vildmosen like their own trouser pocket, and the pursuers did not jump far enough and fell into the bog.

Sjovt lille natur sted for især for familier med børn en varm sommerdag med madpakker med.
Hyggelig lille sted at gå tur
