The Romans built a city that is now called Aachen because of the hot springs in the area, and visiting Carolus Thermen gives you an idea why the Romans liked it so much. This Spa place has a number of pools and basins both indoor and outdoor, with different temperatures. It also has a steam bath. The normal rate is quite reasonable, 12 for 2.5 hours. For extra fee, there are extra services available such as dry sauna, massage etc. The place was quite clean and maintained well. Different types of jacuzzi operate in different parts of the area at specific intervals.

Very nice bath house. About 30 minutes walk from the main train station. Very efficient processing. Men and women share locker room, private dressing rooms, and gender specific bathrooms/showers. BRING YOUR OWN EVERYTHING. They do not provide towels, sandals, robes, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. You can rent or purchase this item but costs add up quickly so better to bring your own if you can. They do have hair dryers for free use.

Very nice, calm, relaxing and clean environment with lots of choices. Staff polite. Good choice for a adults and children of 6 and more.

We love it! Both parents and kids, relaxing, enjoyable and warm. The food is good too. The policy of not reserving a chair is really good, you can always find an empty one of you want to relax outside the pool.

Second time I came to Carolus Thermen and absolutely loved it. Because of the German city sticker policy, I could not reach Carolus with the car anymore but instead I parker at a PR where I walked to Carolus. The moment you enter, you feel relaxed already, really nice atmosphere and friendly staff at the entrance. There is just one thing, the locker area is quite outdated already and that takes that feeling away. BUT, when entering the pool area and the sauna area, you will forget about it all! So beautiful and relaxing! Really like the saunas and the pools over here. I have to give props to the restaurant, which was super tasty. Very nice from Carolus to charge not so much money for meals here, which are starting from 8 euros. Good job Carolus!
