A game changer. Been a great project to work on.

The proposed Wind Farm brought a number of objections for various reasons , however now that it is installed and fit for purpose it has become part of the scenery as you look out across the North Sea. Wind Farm is located 3 kilometres off the east coast of Aberdeenshire, in the North Sea, Scotland. It was developed by the European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre consortium. The scheme consists of 11 wind turbines with an installed capacity of 93.2 megawatts. It is located between Blackdog and Bridge of Don near Aberdeen. First power was generated in July 2018,with full commissioning following in September 2018. I visited many times during its construction and gathered a number of photos and videos during its progress . I am happy from a renewable energy point of view that it is now in place however I can understand the points of view of those who objected to its implementation . I awarded it a review of 5***** as I followed and had a great interest in its progress from the planning stage through to full commissioning in September 2018. I still visit Blackdog and walk along the Donmouth to Aberdeen Bay to capture it from different angles when the weather is good. If you have an interest and would like to find out more about the Wind Farm the fine people at Wikipedia have a magnificent piece dedicated entirely to the project through to completion.
