I called back after having wheel bearings and hubs installed into 2 Honda spindles, realizing the bearings were backwards. John was very understanding about the situation. The previous owner installed them backwards, which is an easy mistake as they look almost the same on both sides. John took care of it, no problem. Advance earned a customer and future referrals. Took in a set of old motorcycle cylinders and pistons to get inspected an honed. I was told that they needed to be bored out to oversize since the cylinders were out of round. I was not given any measurements/data. The correct oversize pistons were provided, but it seems like they were not used for measuring piston skirt to cylinder wall clearance. After 200 miles on the rebuilt engine, I had piston skirt and cylinder wall scuffing, and may have run the risk of seizing the engine. I had to take apart the top end and send it to a vintage motorcycle specialist to do the job right.
