Simply put, do NOT hire Affordable Dock Repair for your dock construction project. I can honestly say that I have never in my 72 years dealt with anyone as dishonest or with so little integrity as the owner. After hiring him for the construction of a deck with stairs leading down to a floating dock, work began on 26 March, with the promise that it would take 7 to 10 days to complete my project. He and his crew would arrive around 10, work for a few hours and were gone by 3 or 4 in the afternoon. He would tell me that they would return the following morning and not show up for several days. There were two periods during the construction that he simply disappeared for 4 weeks on one occasion and 8 weeks on another, with zero communication with me during those periods. It is now 28 December and the project remains incomplete, with promise after promise that he would come to finish the job, but he has never come, will not answer his phone or respond to emails or texts. The portion of the project that he did “complete” is also not to the specifications that were contracted. The floating dock is not level due to inadequate flotation and one of the pilings has sunk 2 feet, causing the floating dock to drop down 2 feet on one end. A further measure of the lack of integrity is the fact that the only positive revues online are from relatives. See the hidden Yelp review by Ryan S. We had our dock built by Jon and it is absolutely gorgeous. Not to mention he was the cheapest company in savannah. You wont any else that provides quality work at an affordable rate.
