My parents moved into Chartwell Harwood in September of 2019. The transition of leaving their home, of 57 years, into retirement living was made easier by being welcomed by such a caring and thoughtful staff. The facility itself is wonderful with its lovely bistro, games room, outside gardens, exercise room, a wellness center (who assist with any medical concerns) and so much more. My dad loves his daily swim in the heated salt water pool. The staff have been extremely careful during the Covid19 Pandemic, they have done a remarkable job keeping all the residents safe during this challenging time. The best part is I know my parents are safe and they have a community around them that truly cares about their well-being . Lisa and the entire staff are wonderful, our family is grateful for their passion and dedication to the community of Chartwell Harwood.

Spoke to the marketing person at this community about possibly finding a home for my mother and a few of her friends to move into. While asking for some sample pricing and suites offered, he claimed the information was confidential and that \I didn't need it to help them with this decision\. Refused to help further unless each of one of my mother and her friends contacted him personally. It was very offputting and left a bad taste in my mouth that me trying to get info and build a budget for them was such a hostile process.

Very unsatisfied with this place, I assumed I was bringing my father to an environment that was kind to ALL races. Wouldn't recommend.

I am very impressed with the dining room as it reminds me of my childhood. I enjoy my suite and I fell in love with the first time I saw it. I like the bus outings and pub night and I wish we could have more of them (pub nights that is). The dining room staff, the kitchen staff and all of the cleaning staff are wonderful. I also like that the front desk staff shows me things on the computer. And I believe that the sign in and sign out procedures are great for safety reasons.

I really like my accommodations, especially my patio. The building and atmosphere here are great. I enjoy all of the entertainment, the food, and the staff are ver friendly, courteous and helpful I am extremely happy that we have a doctor here at Harwood. One thing I do not like is the fact that I have to pay for parking.
